Chasing the regulators of
zygotic genome activation
with Celia Alda-Catalinas

We all start our journey as one cell. Already then it was tough, and one of the first things we had to do was to activate our genome – though you most certainly do not recall that chapter of your biography. Turns out, there's still a lot to be discovered about that process.

We have designed a large experiment taking advantage of very recent scientific advances such as CRISPR and single-cell RNA sequencing to learn more about which genes might regulate that process.
